Not to knock his writing. I don’t have a problem with it. But wow, even the tiniest thing he says can make the front page of Slashdot and flood my RSS aggregator with links back to it. It’s Scoblemania.

It Starts

With the major outlining exercises for results and methods done, I’m working on the actual prose of my first, first-author paper.

Contrast this lucid and thorough post by John Gruber with Robert Cringely’s usual drivel. It’s remarkable, isn’t it? And yet, I think that Cringely is more widely read.
