Kind of an odd set, isn’t it? I’ve got a lot more to fill in. That’s only 1%.

New Treo with Linux?
As I mentioned in my previous post, my Treo 600 sustained some damage to the screen. While it’s okay now, it may spread. Anyway, it looks like if I need to replace it, I should perhaps get a Treo 650 after all. Soon, I should be able to run linux on it and with a working phone!
Combined with my external keyboard, this would be fantastic.
My Treo now has dead pixels…
I keep it in a holster, and last night it snagged on something and fell. It looked okay, but later in the night I noticed some bright orange pixels. Oh well, I thought, I can live with that. Unfortunately this morning it looks like there are more of them. Crap.
I wanted to wait for the Treo 700p, but now it sounds like it may not be out till May. If my phone craps out in the mean time, I guess I’ll buy a replacement 600 from Ebay. They run about $200.

Buffy hanging out at edge of solar system
This article details a new finding of an object just outside the solar system. It has a very odd orbit. Read the article for details.
Also, the object is named Buffy, after the vampire slayer of the same name. Yeah, I know.
Personally, I think it’s the Alien Observation Craft, sent by a sentient race to keep an eye on us and make sure we don’t leave the solar system. Kind of a cosmic trip wire. Or maybe it’s just a chunk of rock that got lost. It remains to be seen.

G4-optimized Firefox Build
I know I have some mac-users on my reading list. If you use a mac with a G4 processor (and you probably do) you should go here and download a special build of Firefox that’s optimized for your processor. I was skeptical, but it seems a lot zippier for me after using it all day.
