All Niger Pictures Up
I have posted every picture that I have from Niger (minus the roll still in the camera) to my new media gallery. Niger pictures here.
The engine behind the gallery is the 2.0 release candidate of the open source program, Gallery. Thanks go to Prosthetically Hip for mentioning that software on his blog, where I first heard about it.
Cardiac Lab Gets Radio Shout-Out
The well-known Tulane DJ — DJ Benny — has graced the cardiac lab with a mention on his show. You can hear a recording of this mention here (1.4 MB).
Intelligent Falling
You may have read some of my diatribes against Intelligent Design. Leave it to The Onion to bring us the breaking news of the next battle — the push to teach Intelligent Falling.
From the article:
“What the gravity-agenda scientists need to realize is that ‘gravity waves’ and ‘gravitons’ are just secular words for ‘God can do whatever He wants.'”
Gravity is the only force for which scientists have not yet found a transmitting particle. Electric and magnetic fields, as well as the strong and weak forces, have all been found to be transmitted by exchange of messenger particles. It is suspected that gravity is perhaps transmitted by gravitons, but they have not been found.
The obvious conclusion? God is pushing things together.
I’m actually mildly concerned that some group will get an idea from this article, and run with it.
