I’ve added comments to my Amazon wishlist regarding which items I had before, but lost when my apartment flooded with three or four feet of water. If you’d like to help replace any of that stuff, the wishlist is the place to go. My greatest loss in the flood was of a whole ton of books, many of which are not listed because they are engineering and science textbooks.

I went through my bookmarked to-read wine reviews, and I’ve updated my wine list to include them. I’ve also started noting what’s a decent price to pay for a bottle ($price) and a Wine Spectator score if given [score] after each name.
I really should start making some notes on that list as to whether I’ve had a particular wine or not, and what I thought of it. New project, I guess.

After fighting issues with my web server all day because of some necessary software upgrades, I was pretty grumpy. Sam and Hermenegild encouraged me to go skating with them and the others, and I reluctantly went along.
I had a great time! Once I got the hang of how the skates bit and slid depending on angle it was basically just like rollerblading.
Xiao took a picture of me, but I have an smile in the picture that I don’t really like. Anyway, here’s proof of me on skates:
We stayed for several hours. All of that skating quite wore me out. It’s time for bed.

Recently, Yahoo bought Flickr, which I use. Apparently they just bought Del.icio.us, another service that I use. Yahoo’s making a rapid comeback in the face of new, similar offerings from Google.
